| TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP
WHAT IS A TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP FOR HARDMONEY LOANS
A tentative parcel map means a map made for the purpose of showing the design and improvement of a proposed subdivision. The title and existing conditions in and around the tentative parcel map need not be based upon an accurate or detailed final survey of the property.
WHAT DEFINES WHAT SIZE PARCELS CAN BE CREATED
The minimum parcel size is designated by the general plan, zoning and Health Department requirements on water supply and sewer service or soil acceptability for septic tanks.
HOW DO I KNOW THE ZONING OF MY INDIVIDUAL PARCELS
The Planning Deportment of the individual counties or cities will provide you with zoning information. (It is helpful to have you Assessor’s Parcel Number which you can obtain from the Assessor’s office. An assessor’s Parcel number is the description and location of your parcel.)
HOW DO I OBTAIN A TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP
To begin the process to obtain a Tentative Parcel Map, a completed application form must be submitted to the Planning Department. The Tentative Parcel Map application forms are available at the City or County Planning Department. The application must be completed by a Registered Civil Engineer or a Licensed Land Surveyor. The property owner must sign the application and have this signature notarized. The application is reviewed by the Planning Department and other agencies prior to Planning Commission action.
